Hole Description

"The first of the par 5's at Knole moves on towards the house and skirts its magnificent gardens. A simple hole, it needs a straight forward drive up the hill, avoiding the out of bounds to the right, to leave the longer hitters with a chance of going for the green in two. The picturesque fairway has great oaks dotted right and left, and for those who lay up short of the green, there's a chance to inspect the gates to the great house on the right. Though the green is generous, the front climbs more steeply than you think and there are hidden bunkers on the left to catch the unwary."
